News: MGH Asset Management the first New Zealand firm verified
as GIPS compliant
Date: 22 Jun 2007
Company: MGH Asset Management (MGHAM)
Comments:
MGH Asset Management (MGHAM), a niche international investment
management firm based in Wellington, has become the first New Zealand
investment manager to be verified as GIPS compliant.
“
Virtually all of our clients are outside New Zealand so we are
held to international standards. By having our performance figures
verified as GIPS compliant, our clients can be assured that in
presenting the firm’s performance history we are following
international best practice in reporting and that we are not ‘cherry-picking’ portfolios,” says
MGH Asset Management director Mike Gibbs-Harris CFA.
“ From a fiduciary point of view, if people are investing with you
they have to be able to trust your numbers.”
MGH Asset Management has been verified as being GIPS compliant
by Louis Boulanger CFA, a member of the GIPS Executive Committee.
MGH Asset Management is registered in the US with the SEC as
an Investment Adviser and is a member of the New Zealand Absolute
Return Association.
